Video Connects Us

“Some of the best friends ever and happiest times of my childhood still cherished decades later!”

“Awesome video….I still think of Camp Q 45 years later! And, I am still friends with some of the people I knew at camp.”

“Easily the best memories of my childhood. Looking forward to each summer was the best part of fall, winter and spring.”

These comments are all from the Camp Quinebarge Facebook page about a video we’d produced for the camp.

Seeing those comments reminded me of the power video has to connect us – to a person, to a place, to a time.

Summer camp is more than just going away. It’s about experiences, friends and being on your own. Parents looking at summer camps want to see that their kids will get the “camp experience”. We joke that after watching it you can “almost smell the s’mores”. Stories from campers about activities, how comfortable they feel at camp and lasting friendships all help us to harken back to our childhoods.

Even if you didn’t go to camp, we want you to see, hear and feel what camp is all about for the campers.

How did we do?
